New Everton Stadium

Ok question to all.
What shape do you think it'll be? Not what you want it to be.
In my humble opinion, a 4 sided would look boss no doubt. And if it was built in any other location than the river side, that's what we'd go with.
I just think the planners will go with something that doesn't just scream 'football stadium'.

It'd be a masterpiece and retain the classical shape of a football ground.

There's an idea, putting the pillars on the outside of the stadium.

I'm expecting a ground-breaking 6 sided stadium wrapped in a steel and blue cladding geodesic dome.

Yeah, so do I. I'd also bear in mind though that any traditional shaped stadium that was around the 65-70,000 capacity mark on a waterfront site in the port of Liverpool would ensure it was unique almost regardless of what could be done with interior/exterior innovation.

Quite so Dave need to stand out and not just be a big end like that other place.

I think that there will be a small element of rounded edge to the design, externally at least. There is a reason the 'bowl' shape is popular, and it'll be an economic one.

I hope though that we have stands that run as parallel as possible to the pitch, I don't really care what they do at the corners, so long as it doesn't push the main stands out from the pitch side.

I want four stands that feel separate with all four corners enclosed and it has to be lit up like a beacon.

It would totally for now. But with running the risk of sounding greedy and making grand assumptions you don't buy a 2 bed house if you're looking to grow your family in the future. Buy bigger! i'd say 60k and not sell out for a number of years until the "new" fans turn up.

All new stadiums have to be something like 10 metres back now to host major football events.
