yeh we managed to 2 cup semis last season when we were rubbish(we still are relatively speaking). loads of rubbish teams have won cups
...the league suggests there are lots more teams worst than us at the moment.

The stadium conference was never going to be the time and place for an announcement - that will be at the time of the AGM which whilst later than its anticipated date will be announced before the end of the month.
i doubt anything would be announced before having outright planning permission
The planning process will be in the public domain mate, so there has to be an announcement prior to the formal process starting.
What will happen first?
We get a new stadium, or win a trophy?
No doubt it'll be the stadium, in 2026, in some God awful location in Liverpool, sponsored by Netto or something.
agreed, its just i thought we would be alot further down the line than we seem to be
HS2 will arrive before the Stadium.....
Everything will be dependent on planning permission anyway.
I know nothing about how this has gone for other clubs but surely Everton could announce the purchase of land at the docks (again, subject to PP), together with confirmation of engagement of the architect/designer, a reveal of the proposed design (however provisional) and at least some timeframe by which they could expect to break ground, if PP is granted.
If we have bought the land, surely the AGM marks the optimal time to announce it together with release of the accounts, subject to all the obvious provisos and conditions?
This is what I am expecting at the AGM. If this comes to pass it's about all we can ask for now. Either way, this is going to take another 4-5 years at least I imagine.
Am I wrong?
The planning laws are such that the public have to be consulted prior to any consent being given, so it will be in the public domain months ( or years) before any consent is given.cant see the club announcing ANYTHING untill full approved planning permission is given.
why tease us with this superb bit of land, only to have it pulled from underneath us due to planning restrictions.
i cant see it being a problem, BUT you never can tell as far as planning consent is concerned. and this is a HUGE develpoment.
Ummm......Two consenting stadiums can make there own decisions !!
No the postcode will be SC2.Is that the postcode for the new ground ?
HS2 will arrive before the Stadium.....
