New Everton Stadium

Sound City Festival moving from Bramley Moore Dock to Clarence Dock next year.

It had been held at Bramley Moore Dock for the last 9 years.

Quite clearly, something is going on with the BMD site.

9 years? Not sure where you got that from. It has been at Bramley Moore Dock for the last two.

However, it is unusual for the change in location. They had a few issues with the venue the first year, in terms of stage positions, overcrowding and sound clashing. However, last year (minus a powerout) seemed on the whole a lot better. Unless there were some serious issues with the site, I would say it is an usual step to move to again just as they seem to be ironing things out.

I also don't think they sold out the last years, so it wouldn't be a capacity thing.

It's also been commented on in this thread about 35 times about it moving this year, but it won't have registered for the poster you are quoting because it didn't include the keywords "Kenwright", "Joe Anderson lovely bloke" or "Everton board forever"

He spoke to the media less than 2 weeks ago.

Are you expecting weekly updates or something?
Good point, but I'm more concerned with substance than frequency. Historically, the Everton board has always had a close and open relationship with shareholders and fans in general. This changed when the board, and Bill in particular, were put under pressure over the planned move to Kirkby a few years ago, at which point the AGMs were cancelled - and haven't been reinstated yet.
Moshiri speaking to a radio presenter is fine, but it goes nowhere near far enough to heal the rather sceptical and sometimes poisonous atmosphere that we've lived with lately.

You're right that there hasn't been an AGM for a few years now. The last three years have seen a Shareholder's Meeting held at the Philharmonic (hall, not pub). No idea what is happening this year, despite my position as a major shareholder in Everton F.C.
My take on the reason for the AGMs being discontinued was the anger generated by the failed move to Kirkby. The operating costs argument was a bit of a sideshow.
Companies Act 2006 did away with the requirement for an AGM for private companies. Coincidental but useful.

Didn't that lead to an even More hostile attempts at an EGM as a result ?

I doubt they would skip the AGM, I think it will be this side of Christmas
Would need the holders of 10% of the voting rights to call an EGM, costs to be borne by the callers. Basically, the holders of 3500 shares, so at that time unles they got Grantchester behind them, extremely difficult.

If they tried to skip an AGM now it's in the amended Articles, I think 5% can call one. The court could also force it to be held. That's my umderstanding of part 13 CA 20O6.

Maybe it'll be combined with the forthcoming Kraftwerk concert. Bill, Mosh, Bob and Jim White all up front with laptops and matching suits. The world's first 3D multimedia AGM.
