New Everton Stadium

Interesting. Does anyone know where this room is located?

I still think it is inappropriate to mix football and religion. It just gives zealots an excuse to cause trouble.
It's a multi-faith room. Anyone can go there and reflect however they wish.

Ever considered there might be staff who might want to use the room during their shift?

I am very anti-religion, but I feel you're causing an unnecessary stink here.

They showed the turbine and clocktower, was that BMD?
One thing that struck me was the squaller people lived in especially looking at the dates he was researching and our club was playing togger while most didnt have a pot to piss in.
Got me thinking was footie considered an elite sport even in them days , obviously not anywhere like it is now btw.

Whereabouts in Goodison is it located? Do the staff get paid when they take time off for prayers during their shift?

I don't know and don't really care. Do you get paid for having a dump? Some people don't have a dump at work, some do, so should they be docked pay?

What about people who drink tea? Some people just drink water, should those who spend time making a brew be docked pay?

Grow up. Your argument is crap.

I'm not arguing anything other than I think religion and football should be kept separated. And since you brought it up I'm interested to know where this multi-faith room is at Goodison, and whether people get paid when they go for prayers during their shift.

It feels like this is taking a rather unsavoury turn, and that this conversation should be left well alone. Football clubs will hire staff on the same basis as most employers in the UK and will therefore employ and offer terms based on job description/ability rather than religious denomination. There is a non specific prayer room in many, many clubs worldwide including Camp Nou, which I know, cause Ive seen it.

The fact that anybody feels that non Christian religious followers having the ability to pay homage to their own faith, is worthy of opening a questionable discussion is quite dissapointing in all honesty. It should be expected of every club, certainly a club of Evertons stature and worldwide appeal.

I don't care what religion they believe in, my opinion that football and religion should be kept separate applies to all religions. I don't think that is an unsavoury opinion tbh.

So by your reasoning we would never have existed, as St. Domingos, a Methodist church, proved a catalyst in the forming of the club.

You obviously haven't read the link. So many boys wanted to play they changed the name so as to reflect the area from which they came.

The link says we changed our name to attract people outside the parish, I'm presuming that means people of different faiths and no faith at all.

No it doesn't ; it says so many people wanted to play, not changing the name to attract more people. Anyway, I'm going to read some Christmas horror short stories - festive felications. :)

It says lots of people wanted to join the football club, and that their reaction to this was to change their name to something which wasn't associated with religion.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your videos! :)
