New Everton Stadium

Interesting. Does anyone know where this room is located?

I still think it is inappropriate to mix football and religion. It just gives zealots an excuse to cause trouble.

I'm just glad that the congregation of St Domingo Methodist Church didn't take that view in the 1870s. ;-)

In all seriousness, I see where you're coming from, but Goodison has had a multi-faith room for years and that doesn't seem to have caused any problems.

I don't care what religion they believe in, my opinion that football and religion should be kept separate applies to all religions. I don't think that is an unsavoury opinion tbh.
They have prayer rooms in airports, do you think air travel and religion should be separated?

They have prayer rooms in hospitals, do you think the NHS and religion should be separated?

It's 2016. People of all faiths work in all industries. Some religions are more tied into daily life than others. I don't see why that cannot be accommodated.

I expect you're the type of person who would suspend staff for wearing a Christian cross on a necklace.

You're entitiled to your opinion.

But whatever anyone else wishes to do is not your concern.

Stop cluttering this thread up with your anti-religion guff that no one wants to hear. I'm an atheist, and even I don't want to hear it.

It's clear you don't have much understanding of the concept of a multi-faith room, or even personal freedom, so I'd quit now if I were you.

Have a lovely Christmas.

Yes mate defo the clock tower.
As far as im concerned the Liver bird is nothing to do with them, juts happens that a red version is on their crest, like the way both City and Utd have two ships on theirs. Ive no problem with it being associatd with Everton, in fact if we bring it closer to our identity wtf else do they have.

Lets mess with their heads.

I think the Manchester clubs should've used barges instead for a bit of authenticity.

If we ever want to compete with the Behemoth we need to take that advantage from them by absorbing city image more to our club.
WE are the original club of the city of Liverpool. They can never take that away.

We need to use that more...in every way...marketing...etc

Any chants of "who the f****n hell are you" should be silenced with "founder members of the football league" own that, we're the originals.

I'm not arguing anything other than I think religion and football should be kept separated. And since you brought it up I'm interested to know where this multi-faith room is at Goodison, and whether people get paid when they go for prayers during their shift.

You need to let it go, I cause you are shocked that most grounds have a multifaith prayer room.

One can only imagine the conversation you had on Friday evening and then come on here and mention a mosque at the new stadium and how it's not welcome in your view.

Yeah, I'm sure UNESECO would be delighted with that tacky monstrosity. I could definitely see the world heritage status being scrapped if they built that.

At then end of the day, the Liver Bird is Liverpool's symbol, as demonstrated by the Council's logo being one. So, I wouldn't stress too much.

But as my Dad said, they don't need a building to rival the Statue of Liberty. That's what the Liver Buildings are for.
