Close to the pitch seating like Goodison so the supporters are involved as they are now.
Easy access for the matchday fans.
Traditional design but modern. Don't think a space age type of look is what we want (could be wrong though)

I read Lyndon's piece on TW today on the stadium and thought it was a brilliant history of where we've been to where we are now on the stadium and very detailed. I'm sure someone posted it on here earlier but if you haven't read it, please do so.

I learned more about our stadium situation in that one piece that I knew at all before.

I think it needs to hold more than 45,000.
We're filling Goodison at the moment with probably the least traveling away support to visit us.
A brand new stadium would encourage more away fans, more hospitality, tourists? and more than anything, more of our own supporters.
55,000 at least.

60,000 is the bench mark in my opinion.
 

45k is ridiculous. Need to add in the people that currently want to go but can't or don't want an obstructed view for £1 less, the new stadium bounce factor, 5k increase in Corp seats plus the people who will now go because BMD is such an accesible location for anybody near a bus route or any Merseyrail (and affiliated) line. 60k as mentioned above is the benchmark.

I hope we take some elements of that US Bank stadium. All stands totally enclosed by the roof structure, the light pouring in....would be immense.

This episode underlines my argument about this Meis feller: that he comes across as an unconvincing loose cannon type of character and not the professional you could place any credibility on regarding a stadium.

Can't be mate - some people went to great lengths to describe in front page articles on this site why everyone thinking it would/could happen was utterly wrong.........

He's largely loving the attention and his twitter selfie makes me badly cringe for a guy of his position and age.

But if he designs us an iconic stadium he can have a pub by the ground named after him.

On a side note, has he commented on Roma's stadium being cancelled?
