New Everton Stadium

Big assumption made about disposable income there though. I went to my one and only game this season in Jan. Unless tickets are a tenner, I won't be increasing that frequency unfortunately.

We definitely shouldn't be using unique users as a guide for capacity.

I did suggest we should encourage irregular attendees to go more. Obviously a clever pricing regime is what I had in mind, cheap tickets for a set number of games etc

'We are what we are'

Can't believe you wrote that. With respect I don't think you fully appreciate what we are. We got huge crowds of 50000+ right up to the 1980s before grounds started getting smaller. The fanbase is clearly there.

Only once in our History have we had an average attendance of over 50k and that was in 1963! And only twice has it been over 47k since 1963. From the start of the 1970 season (leading up to the 80s) our highest average was 41k, in the 70-71 season. That has never been beaten right through to this day. Not sure where your getting your facts from. Mine are from Toffeweb.

The official Goodison attendance figures for the 60s, 70s and 80s were not strictly correct.

Maybe, but we regularly pulled in 60/65000 in the 1960's,the "potential"is and always has been there:)

Agreed. But they're not going to be, like 9000 out!!! The poster said we were getting 50000+ leading up to the 80s, which is clearly wrong. When the official figures put our highest average at 41000 in the 70-71 season right through to present day.

But, we didn't. Our highest official average in our history was 51603 in the 62-63 season, the lowest was 38498 in 65-66. Couldn't have been that regular or them averages would be more.

Fake media claiming attendances were lower at GP! Very sad! SEE YOU IN COURT

What the crowds were and what they could be in the future at a world class venue are 2 very different things.

Since the war Arsenal averaged 40k plus 15 times and still built a 60k stadium
We've done it 20 times
