Lets hope there is more to it than what the guardian is reporting. I was waiting for them to say the finances are in place, as if it's taken this long to negotiate the land cost with peel, it's going to take years to get anywhere. Just think how long it's going to take them to choose the blinds for the office

Im assuming the press don't know yet that the council intend to guarantor us the loan for it? I'm assuming the press have been briefed solely on the land been bought with further details coming out tonight after the council meeting.
Think it would be damaging for the press to release news of a council backed stadium before the Mayor/club does.
