New Everton Stadium

"Extensively" meaning this one tweet;

As I say, I get lack of control over stakeholders but to say a a couple of tweets from Joe Anderson and some Architect is the club going for "megaphone communications" is hilarious.

Let's get it right, the club haven't said a single thing. Let's not go twisting things to fit an agenda.

One tweet today. How many has he made in the last 6 months?

To everyone who is underwhelmed by this, this is absolutely standard business practice for a project like this and it makes total sense if you think about it logically:

We sign a contract in which we promise to purchase the land for X amount providing other factors fall into place i.e. planning permission, if we dont get permission, then weve lost nothing.

Would you rather we went out an laid down £30m in cash upfront on a piece of land we didnt yet have planning permission for? bit a of gamble that dont you think? and would certainly give us something to moan about if it fell through.

It feels like weve actually got a guy in charge here who has a clue what hes doing, he hasnt put the cart before the horse, he hasnt trotted out any shiny photoshops of a new ground prior to sorting the funding etc like weve done on our previous attempts and hes not risking laying down cash without the right bits of the jigsaw being in place, makes total sense and is good practice.
This is all true, but it is super dull. They could at least give us some computer generated images of the proposed stadium (maybe they will!).

@Bungle cheers for the images. Looking good especially the new home end.

The club could stop that in an instant. Do you think if they didn't want Joe Anderson flapping his gums or Dan Meis tweeting his stuff they couldn't rein them in? They seem to have decided to go for megaphone communications instead of calm and measure info direct to fans.

You should have said MegaFon and done a little wink emoji... like you new..... all.... along.

Thats how it works right?

Yeah, what does a glory hunting clown of a Major have to gain by chatting bubbles on Twitter?
It's what he has to lose is the real question. Flapping his gums and making a massive deal out of today - if you were the club and didn't want that buzz being whipped up you would tell that feller to button his lip up. He keeps on doing it though, so what can we assume from that?

Only Davek would be striving to find a non existent black lining of the silver cloud.

I for one am doing wheelies down the corridor in my office chair.

Just this once, forget all of your boring negative tendencies and let yourself only feel that love for Everton.

Up the Toffees.
