New Everton Stadium

Talk now turning to what to do with Goodison.

Imagine how much good for the community they could do by saving part of the footprint - and perhaps:

Selling the old seats (not for £150 though!!) for Charity. Selling iconic items (that they don't want to keep in a museum at the new location)
Using materials - where possible - for recycling.

Please contribute some ideas - we should process the best of them and forward to the club.

If their looking to make money from it then why not convert it to a 4G soccer center like goals on the old training ground in Netherton or Speke. If not they could convert it to a satellite center for the academy I know that UTD and City have them all over the place they even have them in Liverpool, once a kid has been identified with potential he can be coached at the academy and if good enough moved on to FF.

The stadium name will obviously be something commercial - But I think it will be well thought out to incorporate something from Everton's heritage. "USM Goodison" - probably something less obvious!

It's a long way from the Winslow where I've gone after the match since the 60s

There'll be huge demand for bars down there.

Lots of pop up bars have been constructed in the north west, especially in places like spinning fields in manc. That could work well as they'd only need to operate on match days and thus have low overheads the rest of the time. The club/council could encourage the current landlords of pubs like the Winslow to get involved?

What do we all think will happen to the area surrounding it?

Would love to see new pubs/bars/restaurants open but in fairness, seeing as it's not really a residential area like Walton and there will only be games every 2 weeks, there might not be. I have seen a few bit sent around about the North Docks being regenerated into a new "cultural hub" and the like, would be great if our ground was indeed part of a wider redevelopment of the area. Every time I drive down the Dock Rd, with all the abandoned pubs, you can't help but think of how busy it must have been back in the day!
It's going to be partners of Peel's "Liverpool Waters" project mate.

Alright, what about naming the thing? I'd like to propose the name "Royal supreme King of Thailand Vajiralongkorn and his brilliant elephant not-oddly-tasting beer colosseum of joy"

Seriously though, how is a stadium name not going to make us cringe? Anyone gather we might get away with not getting a naming deal?
The 'Moshi and Big Uza's "Look What You Could Have Had Gooners If Only Kronke Wasn't A Stubborn Money Grabbing Meff - A Boss Stadium AND Competitively Priced Tickets" Dockside Dome of Class Togger' has a catchy ring to it

I don't think usmanov or USM will be our lenders, it wouldn't make sense, why would we use Liverpool cc to get a lower rate and pay them 4m a year if it was though USM, be a waste of money.
