New Everton Stadium

Hey guys, can you remind me of our official line on BK? I know that he is to blame for most of our woes (I get that bit) but is he
a) Deliberately not selling the club so that he it can remain his plaything OR
b) Has some nefarious (cunning plan) to sell it and make himself a huge profit?
(soz - keep forgetting).
B) Baldrick

B) Baldrick
Indeed. I have a cunning plan, Sire.
I will take over this once glorious club, save it from oblivion, hire a series young up & coming managers, provide them with some stability in which to grow said club, help attract better players, rise up the league, qualify for Europe, connive with the local council to build a new stadium and then (evil laugh) sell it for a profit (more evil laughing).
My goodness, does this man's wickedness know no bounds?

What's the sequel ?

what exactly did he do to save it from oblivion?

remind me

strange definition of oblivion, he was on the board that hired Smith remember.
Oblivion in football terms is doing a Leeds. Obviously we can't know for certain what would have happened with someone else in charge, but bringing moyes in was a master stroke at the time. Our squad was awful, aging and we had no money to spend. If we'd got relegated that season we wouldn't necessarily have come back up.

tmgc.
I don't know what age you are, but you obviously don't remember the Johnson era.
Do you remember the queue of buyers that Kenwright took beat off to take over the club ?
Do you rember the absolute basket case of a club we were at the time ?
Under Johnson we were heading one way only ..and it wasn't up.

Remind me again how much the club was sold for, how Blue Bill paid for his shares, and how much debt the absolute basket case of a club was in when Blue Bill saved us.

Can you also remind me as my memory isn't great any more, what off the field assets we had,if any, when we were saved.

I know that we have been a top six club for the last number of years. I know that we are playing in the Europa Cup tonight.
I know that we have some of the best young talent around on our books. I know that we have an absolute state of the art training ground.

But, I know that you are referring to Goddison and yes you are right it is still the same old outdated stadium it was in the Johnson era.

tmgc. You are entitled to your opinon as I am to mine. I disagree with you.

I remember the Johnson era as I do several era before that. I am not sure how far your memory goes , as you say , it isn't grat anymore, but take it from someone whose memory is fine things were worse then than they are now.
