FWIW, loads of reports doing the rounds this weekend of Chelsea's project being pushed back yet another year to 2024. That'd make it ten years between them hiring their architects and the stadium opening. They initially wanted to be in there for 2020. These things have a habit of dragging on, even if you've got Abramovich at the top. This ain't 'typical Everton', it's just typical.

The club has a dilemma because if they told the fans straight about the current situation then they'd be getting slaughtered for dithering and the project being destined to fail. They're getting that anyway from certain areas so have probably decided the better of the 2 options is to keep quiet.

The 2021 aim looks almost impossible as you said, but most of the fanbase would probably be fine with that as long as we were given some news in the coming weeks that the club still has a clear plan to build the Stadium.

I'd like to see certain areas of the ground set aside for different types of fans. It doesn't have to be discriminatory obviously or widespread throughout the whole ground as you wouldn't want to minimise potential income through sales but they could set aside one end for the most vociferous supporters who have proven they're long term committed fans. Or even half of one of the ends behind the goal e.g had a purchase history for x amount of years with a certain number of games attended in that time. Would still give anyone else the opportunity to buy in the other half of that end. Then you could have a more family section along one of the sides.

Maybe a moaners/booing section too. Stick them up in the top tier with the worst view lol.
