Sometimes i wonder why @davek, you even bother.
Are you even a fan? You hate kopites more than you love everton.

Things are moving into a right direction and you do nothing but moan, sorry mate but you sound tired.

Not necessarily. The stadium could quite easily be built with a view to expansion down the line.

Our average attendance is something like 35,000 aad we only have about 25,000 season ticket holders, it would be madness to build a 52,000 seater stadium at this point.

But where will they expand into?

You either have to build a 52,000 seater and only put in your 35,000 seats, or still design a 52,000 seater stadium and only build half of it (one storey instead of two) but you still need the oversized foundations to allow an upward expansion because it is too costly to knock down and rebuild.

Not as much as we used to as far as I know, but we have some of the cheapest tickets in the league anyway.

£69 for kids next season and in think mine will be £495. All tickets are reduced. Can't ever accuse the club of charging to much.

Maybe it's because I grew up at roker but the sol has never really done it for me, it's a lovely ground and like I said we had no choice but I would have loved to stay at roker park.

Guess it all comes down to the football. If we were on your position we would almost be selling out, I guess.

We still average over 40,000 and for a team who have won the square root of nothing since 1973 and is about to suffer its 8 relegation since then. I guess the crowds are top drawer.

But, I reckon we will drop to about 30,000 next season and it willbe noticeable in such a big stadium.

Can Goodison be redeveloped and what would the capacity be?
Deffo Goodison could be redeveloped there are umpteen solutions the example here is a 50K stadium:

But people get distracted by having a hotel, shopping centes, nudist colonies and other such flummery christ if we want to go into the hotel business we should buy the Adelphi in the centre of town and fix it up it's only 10 mins away and costs 5 quid (joking before the "literally??" police dive in).

At the end of the day the highlighted piece in your post is the top and bottom of it and new stadia have not improved the footy and the clubs anywhere.

Two monied sets of yanks have arrived at Liverpool FC trumpeting a huge season ticket waiting list getting plans drawn and bragging about a new stadium. Months later both backed off and now anfield is to be redeveloped - something don't add up with the whole new stadium premise (unless you get a freebie like City and West Ham).
