New Everton Stadium

"We have to demonstrate our confidence in Bramley-Moore, not a cautious, scaled back version of what might have been, but the biggest it can be, best it can be, most iconic stadium that stretches Moshiri’s pockets to the limits." - the esk

How is it going to do that when he's not putting a penny toward it? It's going to stretch the club's ability to hold massive debt, so maybe that's why Elstone is being more cautious than the esk would like?

Did they say that today?

No mate, not regrading the private money but everything else with in the time frame has been indicated. I know from someone who would know that Moshri will 100% be funding the private money if we don't raise it any other way.

Nothing was ever going to be announced more than that today. When we announce this, it'll be done with a much bigger fan fare than some random breakfast get together in town that anyone can walk in to. We've waited long enough for it.

Heard the same. Mayor Joe alluded to it a while back. Main reason why I was expectant of this thing today.

Reading that is why Elstone leaving can't come soon enough, it's always small time thinking and being cautious with him, its the attitude of 'well, that will do, atleast where getting something' and that has been are problem for years, 35,000 - 40,000 estimated season ticket sales in a brand new unobstructed stadium is pathetic,

He needs to stick to the tan tablets and egg chasing because he's far to small for Everton, 'kin block head

Well according to the Q&A Esk posted above they dont know anything about anything.

Lots of bluster but they didnt even know the capacity.

Also I just read a tweet that Dan Meis will hold workshops with fans who completed the fan survey.

Not looking good, we might have some details by 2025 at this rate, spade in the ground by 2030.
They know.

We are going have to get the finger out if we are aiming for spades in the ground next summer.

Today told us nothing new whatsoever, other than giving us yet more demoralising pessimism from our soon to be ex chief executive. They'll get there in the end but we're talking 10 years time or maybe longer. They're sucking all the joy out of what should be an exciting time.

You got me all wrong, im not a negative person, I just felt that we learnt very little from any of that Q&A, we were told nothing new, nor we were told anything with any flesh in it.

Ive also never said the ground wont happen, but there are lots and lots of things on the to do list, lots of legal wrangling, lots of cash chasing, hoops to jump through and thats even before we start filing in that massive hole/river.

So no, I dont want to know the attendance NOW, im willing to wait, ive expected to wait for a long time.

I just felt the Q&A was a waste of time considering they said ZIP that we didnt already know, mainly cos we dont know ZIP yet.

Let's not forget that this was a business breakfast to inform local business people of the plans that are afoot on the docks, not a breakfast to inform Evertonians on the specifics of our ground. It's not the first of these forums and it won't be the last.

This. People are making hasty assumptions based on this.

I will go one better.

This was simply an advert to the world that this area is getting regenerated, Everton are the principle enablers and it’s up to you to get on bored.

I am told the council are looking at getting Channel 4 to put there HQ within the vicinity.
