New Everton Stadium

Had an interesting conversation today with a colleague - Long and short of it was that Elstone has essentially gone (No surprises there) - but he was insinuating that his leaving has massive repercussions in regards to the stadium going ahead

Any ideas why this would be the case?

Yes, he is a pillock and the repercussions are that as he’s leaving and no longer dragging his feet, it’s now going ahead.......

Trust me, that's not true. Everything I read here I've heard said about our own stadium over the last 10 years. Seriously, this whole thread is de ja vu. I also read (but don't post in) the new stadium thread on theshedend forum, and a lot of Chelsea fans are getting bored with the time things are taking with their stadium too.

It's only because you take more notice of your own stadium that you think your club is unique in dragging things out. We've taken ages, Chelsea are taking ages, Wembley took a few goes to get to construction and then almost bankrupted the contractor, Arsenal's was reasonably quick but they ran out of cash and had to stop building, and look on the bright side - you're not West Ham.

Nothing makes me think this isn't going to happen. These things just take time.

Can you stop posting reasonable and well thought out posts on here please, your interfering in the pass time of the some on here which is having their heads fall off over nothing.

Negative filled over reaction’s based on rumours and nonsense only please.

I like you mate. You seem sound and level headed.

I think that indicates a capacity of 55k. More than the "result " from the survey but less than anything I have ever heard from any supporter.

I think we need to wait and see if there are any proposals relating to an ability to increase capacity at some future date.

Almost all voted for "minimum 50k"....groundbreaking news there like !
The rest is how I imagined it would be , but cant help feeling a trueer reflectionwould have been what % for over 60k.

Just registered for the Dan Meis forums in April ! (pretty quick that).

This pours a bit of cold water on the few on here and other media that its off.
Think this is a lot further down than line than most think.
