New Everton Stadium

Meis said: “It’s incredible how consistent the fans have been in the surveys.

Ha Ha Ha. Because they've been told what's important through the club and the Echo. Little wonder you get those answers if you nudge and cajole fans into believing that "traditional" is what they want.

It's like that badge design a few years ago. The replacement to fat badge was a choice of three designs...from the club! That's how free-thinking it was from fans.

Meis knows that. He;s a phoney just like that carpet bagging beaut he's seeking to get the contract off.

Meis' workshops start next work, D.

I suppose we will get more words starting Monday.

Didnt get to know the place that much. We lived in a tiny village called Forton, near Newport, while Dad worked in Wem. Couldnt have been more than 18 months. But made friends with 2 sisters who are still mates all these years later. Loooooong story!

Then me and our kid pitched up at junior school in Portishead with scouse, to them, accents. Stayed here pretty much since.
My bird lives in Wem, 20 mins away

don't care on the backlash, but i like meis. He seems to be taking a massive interest in what us fans actually want. Maybe it was the case with spurs and chelsea fans too, but i don't notice it because i didn't take any notice, but there seems a lot more of fan interaction with our stadium build .... surely if chelsea fans had much of a say they wouldn't have agreed to their design?

Based on the numbers from the surveys you would think a lot of the key characteristics will already be decided on. Not sure we actually learnt anything from that article, but it's good to see he's still very focused on what the fans' preferances.

Spurs supporters were not asked thier view on any part of the new stadium being built but I'm sure the single stand option was put forward to the club as something the fans would want (have no idea who by but I'm glad that opinion was listened to.)

In fact it turned out being a result having the single tier stand cos compared to the rest of the stadium this end of the stadium was easily the quickest to throw up (and the last part of the stadium to be started) and to see how much has been done since they knocked WHL down in the middle of May last year is unbelievable (at I would suspect is an unbelievable high amount of about £500 million.)

Incorporating obstructed views into the new stadium design as a 'nod to the past' is an utterly stupid idea. The new stadium should be at the forefront of today's technology. If we want to marvel at inferior and outdated facilities then we should just stay at Goodison.

They're making a bit a song and dance about this tbh. Just get on with it for crying out loud.

Spot on - everything about this club screams outdated, boys club, nostalgia.

Design something completely new and amazing or just stay at GP and invest the stadium money in players and a top manager.

He’s a failure trying to get his name in the mix for a large project.

How dare a Lib Dem try and speak up in the city after siding with the Tories, implementing huge cuts?

Agreed, however I don't think we should mind anyone questioning what exactly is happening here but you would think surely it would be from a point of view that 'this sounds like an amazing deal to boost the public coffers to the tune of 7 million per annum, ensuring we can keep vital services running - but we need to effectively guarantee that in the worst case scenarios that the city is protected, so I need to meet with Everton to find what is being offered to ensure that is the case'.

To dismiss it so quickly just smacks of an agenda like you say.

This fella pisses me off. Absolutely nothing to do with him.

haha he is such a no mark, as if Everton have time to waste talking to him, just looked at his Twitter, he is that irrelevant with his 4k followers he does one of these:
"16 people followed me and 5 people unfollowed me // automatically checked by"

Who's suggested that we should do that?

One of the reasons that new stadia increase average attendances is because new stadia don't have obstructed views.
