New Everton Stadium

Proper funny the tits in our fan base who still believe the crap that comes out of the club regarding a new stadium

Are you saying you don't think Bill really tried to make Kings Dock happen mate?:D

The sooner something happens the better.

To those who criticised me over my comment about a new stadium not this side of 10 years and we had no funds. Do you really think the TV money will all go to a new stadium? or will it go to buy players? or will a good deal disappear in operating costs? or will it be used to pay off some of the existing debt?

Look again at Elstone's statement about the club not willing to increase the debt and having to pay it off over a few years and you think we are okay because we will have TV money?

Yet again you have been told that money cannot all be spent on wages and unless those new players are to play for free then that arguement will not, repeat not stand up.

The problem for Everton is a lack of buyers . If a genuine buyer makes their interest public it would change the game completely. Supoorters would now be looking at the board with a much more critical and demanding eye.

But, where are they ?

When Kirkby was at its height, and since, Elstone repeated over and over again that Everton isnt attracting buyers.

He pointed out that was because GP was on the verge of falling down, the electric supply trips when the kettle was put on, there is no land available in Liverpool to allow the club to build a new stadium et al. When all that was sorted then the inference given was that the club would be sold.

Supporters such as me saw right through that list of excuses and come to the conclusion the club isnt for sale.

Now roll on NINE years and look whats happened.

A council for the THIRD time has told them where the land is for a new stadium and the TV rights has given the club £30 million per annum to spend.

Guess what? The gawp that is Elstone has now said the debt that comes with anew stadium may very well be prohibitive ignoring for the gullible that £30 million extra per annum that they get. That excuse will be rolled out now as a reason for not building a new stadium why they will not sell the club.

I go back to my point earlier and say the club is not and has never been for sale.

With Spurs having spades in the ground. What has come out this week is unforgivable.

I've been voicing my ire on this here.

Plus the implications of not being able to compete as TV money is restricted from being used to increase wages - whilst our competitors are out performing us in both COMMERCIAL REVENUE generation and now it seems will wipe the floor with us in terms of STADIUM REVENUE generation.

This is seriously worrying.

This board are sitting on their arses and are damaging the club due to their ridiculous inaction.

I am seriously worrying for Everton now.

q.v. Aston Villa implosion predictions.

This is the cold, harsh reality; peers are not standing still. When West Ham join Tottenham in dwarfing our incomes maybe people may take notice. Maybe once Newcastle sort our their financial clout people may take notice.

Make no mistake we're doing a Wolves, Preston etc, its just taking a few years. We need corrective action ASAP.

As an international supporter, and with all due respect, why does this "North/South disparity" only seem to apply to Everton?

I didnt say it does - well it does to an extent, organic revenue comparrisions show that - what i am saying it will become more apparent, im using West Ham as the marker - watch them grow to our level and watch them over take us, unless we improve our infrastructure. They are about to explode in terms of progression.

Really the only Northern clubs that can compete with Sorthern clubs for organic revenue and application of FFP are Utd and Liverpool - albeit Norway already struggle financially to compete with the Arsenal, Chelsea's and soon to be WHU and Spurs of this world.

Someone who understands where I am at on this issue. Don't forget to vote @Neiler

We can compete. But not on the basis of the current plan published by Elstone. We need another 10,000 - 15,000 seats and more facilties for hospitality/hotel to do so.

I think you are right. It's been a 15-year+ circle and debate about lack of funds / team-building / selling players / debt / no commercial presence / new stadium. Nothing will change.

I can only see it changing if we are in the CL for a couple of years in a row, get taken seriously, become notable and become attractive in that way for potential consortiums and buyers. Winning a cup or reaching the odd final will not change anything. Finishing 5th or 7th is no good. No-one cares. We need to become a 'sexy' club and I think it's only on the field we can do that. Maybe Elstone and co. are not decisive enough and there is no actual plan. Maybe they just don't know what they are doing? Why waste millions on research about stadiums etc. if we all know deep down we do not and will not have the money for a fancy £200m stadium?

Elstone's recent comments seem to be saying 'what's the point having a fancy stadium for a few mill extra each season...and we're not going to get one anyway because we can't'

We really do not know if the club is for sale or not.
Just because somebody on this forum say it isn't ...or is , really means absolutely nothing. It is their opinon and they are
absolutely entitled to it. Even if the write FACT at the end in bold capitals, that doesn't make it true. FACT.

The arrival on the scene of a genuine bid or at the very least genuine interest from a credible source. That is what is needed to push matters forward.
They don't appear to be there and imo the ground issue is the main reason there is nobody putting their head above the parapet.
The cost of building a new stadium as well as buying the club is too expensive a proposition.

In my opinon new ground first then new owner/investor, not the other way around

Id like to see the board go but no amount of feet stomping, banners, anger, can make them get rid of there property, and people like earle who are nowhere to be seen really couldnt give a monkeys at the end of the day.

Who we should be targeting is elstone who is running the club now, hes the one people should be demanding out first

Elstone is only an employee wo is acting with the full knowledge of the Directors, a banner saying Elstone out is a nonsense so what is your recommendation?

Its a well known fact hes running the place with kenwright only doing the final signing off on things and handling negotiations.

If enough pressure was put on the board they'd ship him of in a heartbeat as long as the heats of them for a bit
