New Everton Stadium

55k should be the minimum figure. Anything lower would be a little disappointing.

Annoying about Bill. No doubt he's causing the same problems he always has in terms of recruitment.

His meddling has got to be the reason we never have a straight forward transfer. Things always drag out, it must be part of his modus operandi to wear the other clubs negotiators down.

Speaking to someone from EITC, they have a plan maintain their funding and investment in Everton/Walton.

They have added a disablity hub and looking to close off Goodison road so children can play safely without cars and of course the big move will be to build a community hub and 2 blocks of flats.

I think Denise Barrett-Baxendale will be key and her personal history with EITC might just push priorities through
the club will only be doing stuff like this if the plan to move away is still alive and kicking so personally I am pleased to hear stuff like this for that reason and obviously to maintain the area when we do move out.

IF safe standing comes into place, it will be 1:1 ratio so the capacity will be exactly the same.

In terms of space, we would have more room so the 12-15k home end which Meis suggested would increase

It's not that simple. Meis said the ratio would be 1:1 so the facilities both for comfort and legal safety will be designed for one capacity and that alone. Any increase would need those facilities upgraded.

Funny how reds have suddenly developed a social conscience about this. Particularly through the web pages of that poisonous rag, "De Redmen Echo".

They weren't saying "fork all" for the many years when their own club was hounding pensioners from their homes and deliberately letting the Anfield area turn to dogshat. But then again, the Echo is the friend of LFC isn't it?

If certain council members withdraw support due to their obvious "murder incorporated" leanings, any Evertonian worth their salt should be in their faces about it. TERROR THEM...

Jesus.
It's things like you that give Evertonians a bad name.

55,000 with an easy expansion available would be fine.

There is no easy expansion option. People need to understand this very clearly. BMD is a unique site. That has huge opportunities but in practical construction terms it presents big challenges. The site dimensions and heritage listed & protected dock wall constrain capacity. 60-65k might be possible to deliver day one if designed carefully with every opportunity utilised. Sites with more surrounding free space permit subsequent redevelopments including for stands to be subsequently repositioned/strengthened/expanded relatively easily. In contrast BMD is an extremely tough site to 'redevelop in use' as even a 55k stadium will fully utilise the footprint North-South limiting access for large scale construction vehicles & equipment once built. Realistically what we build is what we will always have (+/- 1000 seats or so which can be changed by reconfiguring corporate space).
