New Everton Stadium

This is the only club forum I post on. Don't even bother with Spurs forums because they are all awful.

Plenty of people in this thread have seemed to take an interest in the Spurs stadium, there's been lots of dicusscusion in here about it. So I didn't realise it would upset some people to post a few updates of it in it's nearly complete state.

If that's not welcome it's no bother I'll cut it out.

Yes, I think that is probably the best outcome from my post.

Ignore him mate, if it encourages discussion with other blues and is in someway relatable to our current state of affairs in getting a new stadium then fire away. I'm sure the mods will let you know if you cross a line anyway.

Keep posting mate. I have followed this through from the beginning and it's good to hear what you expect and want from your new stadium. It does look amazing and I hope it turns out great for you ........except when we're kicking your ass there in a few years

If we can get anything near as good as this looks I think there'll be many happy blues up here. I wouldn't be arsed about the delays either as it's not like you are having to share a stadium with one of the other London clubs while you wait.

When it's ready you'll be the envy of most of the 'top' clubs

Keep up the posts mate, think your new stadium is spot on and hope ours is just as good

Love the home end. Not at all keen on the touchline stands. Too many tiers and boxes that will disrupt the sound from the home end transmitting throughout the ground.
Yea, it kinda looks like the Aviva (lansdowne road) with a proper home end.
I went to the Emirates a couple of years ago, It was the first time I'd been to see Arsenal at home since Highbury and while it was nice, I preferred Highbury. This on the other hand, seems like it will be a huge improvement on White hart lane.
The Emirates/Highbury experience did make me worry about leaving Goodison but I think Meis is aware of our need to avoid a soulless bowl.

I guess with a stadium with seats in the corners you either have a bigger single-tier stand that wraps around and cuts into the two side stands (as we've done) or you have a smaller single-tier stand with the side-stands wrapping around to meet it (which is what Meis is doing for BMD).

There's no smooth way to merge a double or triple tier into a single tier. You'll end up with blunt points or concrete walls somewhere. Maybe we just need a lick of navy paint or some banners or something.

Actually, I hadn't noticed this before but the BMD single-tier seating plan is not at all dissimilar to the way the single-tier end was incorporated in our first design:

Look at that, superb. I've always quite liked Tottenham, since Ozzie, Hoddle and that gang, they were great to watch as a kid.

We are going to have nothing like their stadium

They are getting executive and internal facilities we can only dream of.

Dan Meis is all about aesthetics and " steep stands close to the pitch"

Spurs is technically a football stadium wrapped in luxury.

There's a concept picture somewhere of one our future lounges with a bullens road sign behind it, which shows how narrow our concourse/facilities will be.
Apart from different achitects, why not? the footprints are virtually identical.
This, INMnsHO is what we, in principle, require...it covers all the big points as outlined in fan surveys

It'll come down to cost, like the lack of posts on the main stand, all for the lack an extra 10% / £70,000
