I was surprised how quick and short the consultation was yesterday. Was expecting it to be a bit more in depth.

I like how although it's just box ticking it's open to everyone in or outside the city to give their opinion.

It's going to be great but just going to continue to be patient with it. Was a huge statement from DB-B recently to say it's definitely going to happen so although we've all been here before a few times hopefully this time is different.

I'm just pleased we're not going down the commonwealth games route. Although it would've been great for the city for the games itself I just couldn't see how the design of the stadium could be as good as it's likely to be having to incorporate a temporary track. I'd rather wait another 2-3 years than have that.

Thing is there are free text fields which are good. It means any LFC meffs who select no and then don't justify that view (or lists rubbish like kite flying/small boats to llandudno) can be filtered. On the flip side any valid objections can also be raised which is entirely the point of a public consultation.

It seems to me primarily a 'box-ticking' exercise.

Yes as I thought, the last couple of bitter posts, accompanied by the Everton project link, " Just to ensure they stay at Goodison ". We don't matter to them though do we :bye::bye:. Ensure you fill in the surveys lads.

The club have done their homework this time so it will be very difficult for a 'Walton Hall Park dog walker' or a 65 year old season ticket holder from Carnarvon to have any influence or voice in the real planning.

I also feel that this 'council money' talk is a red herring. Gets all the moody Anfield residents ready to go on a march of some kind. Then we just pull out the Russian money and they go back into hiding.

Any sort of last minute objection to planning could also be shot down by the club/city now as we've consulted the public and requested their thoughts in the correct way.

Good to see things moving along nicely since RE departure.

Everyone needs to fill this in today. For those who think this doesn’t matter just look at who’s in charge of the country because people thought their vote wouldn’t matter!! Like it or not this is an important part in us getting our new stadium. You know the small ship brigade have filled this out numerous times! Everyone on here has probably got more than one email address (I’ve got about six;)) and it takes about a minute to fill in. Don’t Everton this up people

...I agree. I’ve done it and encourage others to do the same.

But they could name one of the new surrounding roads Goodison Lane or something then you've got the link

It is essentially the "Bramley Moore Stadium", but it will always be sponsored anyway, so will never be called by its name, just as Eastlands and Ashburton Grove are better known as the Etihad and the Emirates.

I think its for the best anyway, Goodison is unique and we shouldn't try to keep everything the same
