New Everton Stadium

It is a spectacular product.

I think that none of us fully appreciate just yet how much this new stadium can affect the future of Everton FC.
When you look at the video the club put up yesterday I think you can see TFG and others were looking at buying the club.
Over time little teething issues will occur and they will be resolved. Overall it is without doubt the most significant development at Everton since I first started supporting the club 55 years ago.

Agree completely. A brand new stadium for a historic club is a generational thing people are taking for granted. Never mind the fact it's on the waterfront of our proud city.

It just won't do.

That roof has to be completely lit up. Maybe not completely royal blue, but a subtle shading upward from deeper blue to lighter blue going from the lip of the roof toward the top.

That gas hob effect is not announcing the stadium to the world. Anyone settling for it is missing a massive part of the reason for doing a new build down there in the first place.

Have you ever done anything instead of posting on here?

….i think we’ll be in the FA Cup Final next May so that date is likely to be moved :celebrate:

….i spoke to one of the FF ground staff about the BMD pitch a while ago but what he told me was more scientific than gardening. Staggering. I’m sure he said they’d brought a bloke in from abroad to oversee it and it truly is state of the art surface.

It went totally over my head.

... that definitely didn't happen.

It only gives the measurements from the centre of the stand.

Looking at this image we can estimate that each glass rectangle is roughly 4m give or take. Seeing there is two whole, two partial and about one more would take it up to the height of the top edge and the full 47m. So towards the very corners it might be closer to 37m. We have to remember though as the corners of the bowl have already cut across before that point, it would probably be better to take the measurement from the first steel column. That would put it at around 40ish (without printing it out and getting a ruler involved).

I know you posted this last week but I wanted to give it a proper read so I put it to one side for when I had a chance.

Anyway, I think it was that it shows there was leeway between the very top row of the stand and the start of the roof. Do you know the height of the very last row?

Will probably stay that way and be very easy to maintain seeing as most of our footy is played in the air .

Rumour has it that a retractable roof was being considered but restricting the stadium hieght was blocked by sean as he would have to amend his team talks and tactics
