New Everton Stadium

This is a serious question and not trying to WUM , but why would someone want to visit Liverpool? I never loved there but have been there heaps for footy and visiting family but I am genuinely curious to why , say an American or German etc that has no family or interest in footy would visit? Is it the Beatles? I’m genuinely interested. 64m visitors is a lot and I’m wondering why it is that so many people go there? I know half of that number is probably Norwegians but what about everyone else

Albert Dock, Liver Buildings, Museums, 2 Football teams, Music, Nightlife, Hen Do's, Stag Do's and so on.

Ive got a couple of great friends from Coventry who absolutely love it here and come up at least 4 times a year because it's such a good weekend.

Most importantly, the vast majority of people who live in Liverpool are very welcoming people and leave a positive reflection of the city to people outside our bubble of glory

The same could be said for most European cities though. Besides being a top night on the piss, there's a couple of landmarks and a few tours to do, the same as everywhere else and that's it really? It's the people that make the place. Scouser are known everywhere for being top class people. We're just great tbh

For reasons beyond our control, I'm not sure this is a view shared by the Bulgarian Waiters Trade Union, for example

You never loved in Liverpool? That’s unusual...

Just read something about that
Pub or museum I reckon, a few people suggesting a St Luke's 2

For me if they were able to renovate it would be decent as a musuem / rooftop bar.

I dont get the St Luke's 2 shouts, I wish fans would stop trying to replicate GP its unique and should be left behind with BMD a new unique stadium of its own.

Well the whole of Merseyside is honestly a lovely place to visit.

You have everything Liverpool offers, Museums, Albert Dock, great nightlife when people arent getting stabbed, very decent shopping, great hotels, then over the water you have everything The Wiza has to offer, great parks, beaches.

Theres quite a lot to do.

I admit its not somewhere I would pick for a break away, but I do live near enough for it not to be considered a holiday.

The Cavern area alone attracts more and more each year but Liverpool is so much more. For Americans and other international visitors, Liverpool was historically the centre of the slave trade(the slave triangle) and the world famous Liverpool Tropical Datlantic lineraatesease Hospital was built as a direct result of the slave trade.Historically there are many slave trade references around the city. Rarely do cities have two cathedrals. The Williamson Tunnels are unique. Many fine museums and galleries. Historic dockland. The world renowned Philharmonic Hall. The Philharmonic pub with its architecturally important gents toilets. Gormleys men on Crosby beach, were the radio transmitter was used to capture the murderer Crippen ..much more

Sorry,pc glitch with the above, but you get the idea. Get someone to send you a load of brochures,or msg me, and next time you come for Everton, stay for a week. Theres even an undergound hotel.

Agree on this, we have to start again from fresh or where do you draw the line on what we replicate and what we dont, nothing we replicate will be as good as the original
