There won't be a car park next to the river. You honestly think we're gonna spend 100s of millions of quid on a prime waterfront location and slap a car park in front of it?
Nah, me neither
One concern of mine:
From everything we've seen so far I get the impression that the space under the stands is going to be used as external walkways outside the stadium.
Obviously this will be sacrificing concourse space - don't want to be crammed in the concourse at halftime when grabbing my warm Carling.
they won't have a car park, sure a load of questions in the quiz thing they sent was about how you would get to the ground knowing there is a limited supply of public parking around the ground, be a nightmare parking around that way anyway
They will definitely have a canal system between the cark park and the stadium.
Docks basically need to "breathe", so if they're keeping nelson and the other docks, we will still need some sort of water system connecting through.
I thought about this when they showed draft images at the consultation but whilst the walkways will be under the stands there was what looked like above levels being wider, overhanging the walkways and I think there was even a giant glass wall on end where you could see towards the Liver building etc.
I may be wrong but I think that was discussed at the session I sat in at St Luke’s
Apparently there will be a body of water between the ground and the River Mersey. This has been seen on proposed designs, by certain limited people, one of whom I'm related to. Also the stadium is supposed to be brick and glass, up to now anyway.

Ref the car park, the pic above was shown, it was muted it could be used on non-match days also for short stay ferry parking also but that maybe speculation as well
It could also have conference/office space or restaurants on the top of it - let's wait and see.
I'm for having a structure between the stadium and river. it makes perfect sense.
Could potentially be similar to Victoria Street MSCP, though that's only 333 spaces. They don't have to be dull grey concrete structures.
