New Everton Stadium

I think the stadium will be more compact but that’s due to the prime location.
It’s something of a trade off versus a bigger out of town location that will be harder to fill.
In town aswell it can be used for more events so could generate more revenue instead of being idle for 30 odd weeks of the year.
That plus the intimidation factor of the compact ground acts in the clubs favour.
As long as it’s 55k or above with better facilities and better corporate revenue, I think it’s ideal.

Everytime i see this picture i cant help but thinking... how on earth will the cars actually get to this car park?!? the crossing points over the channels would need to be wider or reinforced. Or maybe new ones built? Or are they going to be given access from either side of the dock we have purchased?

I mentioned this earlier - must be a road network as part of the regeneration proposal using the neighbouring land

Again going from what was said these crossing points may need to be lifted for boats/barges to pass so would be new articulated points.
I think one end of the ground was going to be a road way.
The parking would be a members only based on players, staff, corporate then fans etc so less need to rush out

Rumour on the helipad was laughed off!

Arsenal dont have a car park. Not sure about spurs. Just have park and ride. Simples

Totally different situation and almost non comparable to us.

They are in London where the transport infrastructure is, largely, superb. They both have dedicated tube and railway stops within walking distance as well as a extensive bus service.

Here in Liverpool we have Merseyrail, who will refuse to put on bigger, extra trains and will still insist on a sunday service on sundays, we will have a soccerbus that runs only 2 hours before and 40 mins after the game and thats it.

You'd imagine the council will create a new bus route to the new ground but imagine the queue to get on the 3 busses they will provide to trundle there and back.

And I hope you're right mate

Not saying you're wrong, just saying that I'm not getting my own personal hopes up because of what's happened in the past

This club gets to you like that sadly. I still love it and I'll still be at the match like, but I'll believe this ground when I see it

Nothing would make me happier than to be completely wrong on this and for yourself to vault the fudge out of me ;)

Its really easy to be a die hard Blue and to also doubt whether this stadium will happen because we just have had so many years of 'Everton, that' and things which are too good to be true, being too good to be true. However, like you say @4737carlin there are too many other people involved with an interest now - Moshiri and his company, Peel, Liverpool City council for a start and I think there's also the political historical financial arguement that maybe we need Everton to be good in this city and that 2 successful clubs can only be good news for everyone. I have high hopes.
