Yeah I am sceptical. I don’t trust Americans when it comes to sports. We don’t all live in harmony and we don’t sit together like they do. And if they do a kids game on it on derby day I fear for the little kopites lives! lol

This article says the capacity can be expanded to 62k, is there anymore information on that?

I think they are being clever with numbers cos when Safe Standing is brought in it will be at a 1-1 ratio of seats, not the 2-1 ratio that would probably be needed to up the capacity by another 10,000?

Always said something like the Lucas Oil Stadium but better brickwork! Like I said it is what is. Looks great inside but outside could be better. And 52,000 still far too low.

But then that's not unique either is it? If it's more like something else

Very impressed with the look of it. Not generic, not a standard bowl, the lower brick portion looks great and in fitting with the surrounding dock area.

52K? Could be a bit bigger, but will get the job done just like your mum said.

I see what they're trying to do by incorporating a warehouse design, but then they fuse futuristic with it...and it doesn't blend.


I'd like something with clear simple lines and rectangular. The Bordeaux stadium is aesthetically pleasing. It's simple but stunning for my money....

Always assumed it would face the river...

They'll want the fans walking to the ground to see it now some people doing a little tour of the Mersey.
