It’s the glass dome erupting out of the brickwork that I can’t stand. Everything else is spot on, especially the inside. I’m with you in that it doesn’t sit right, should have went one or the other.

The outside is important, of course it is, it's all about identity.

I like the look of the outside though. I thought the inside looked a bit bland but its only a CGI image, I am sure there will be loads more intricate details that will make it feel like home.

Yeh I'm not saying it isn't important, of course it is, but those moaning are picking the weirdest tiny faults like writing font.

Have to say, after the 'blue wave' tease, I was expecting something more related...

...like an outer shape of stadium like that of a wave building upwards, all the way around, that lit up blue.

Or at least a wave-shaped roof.

Or at very least a curved stand.

I dont see the reference of a blue wave immediately.

Outside view looking at the home end looks like a breaking wave with the reflection on the water

It isn't the final design though, that is version 1.0. 2.0 looks better to me.

It’s really nice. It’s not utterly mind blowing or anything, but it’s clear to see that a lot of attention and effort has been put into making something that’s ‘ours’, rather than just a generic modern stadium. Good job all round.

Would much rather stay at Goodison than move into another soulless modern arena.

...I reckon many of the great iconic buildings met a mixed reaction when first built, but folk grow to love them. This change is so much required.

Fitting for a founder member of the league to still be part of the elite.
