New Everton Stadium

Taken from rawk form

"Mates of mine are forming a group Buddies of Bramley with the intention to stop any building or redevelopment of or on any of the north end of Liverpool docks.

There are loads of things that can delay and stop this in it's tracks.

In short...it ain't happening."

Anyone heard of Buddies of Bramley?

Well now that looks 10x better. No ridiculous hybrid - no brickwork and steel and glass nonsense.

Keep it like that. I suspect it will end up like that too if it does get built.
But your prefered version wouldn't get past planning. His version with the bricks etc has a much better chance. Would you like us to potentialy waste time & money trying to push through an ultra modern version before being told no then have to start the whole planning process again?

It's going to be a BIG STAND-off between them and construction workers.

You have to be a strange sort of person to actively stop the development of an unused brownfield site next to a sewage plant & stop many people getting jobs & new money coming in to the city just because your bitter about your rivals getting a new ground.
It truly boggles the mind.

Only just seen the designs. Broadly it looks good. But if atmosphere is one of key objectives then there's too many breaks in the seating. I can count a dozen large gangways and Exits in the lower half of the home end alone. There appear to be six exits only 3 or 4 rows from the front. Hardly going to generate intensity or intimidation. There should be solid blocks of seating in the sections near to the pitch, as at Gwladys St.

Make sure you mention it in the consultation. I've told them the concourses cannot be open to the elements but I'm sure in reality they won't be, these are just concepts.

You think brickwork is going to placate any local, national or international objection to a stadium there?

It's not what the thing looks like, it's what it's function is that will be the decider.

The stadium will look roughly what has been shown already. It might use plastic brick effect cladding instead of real ones but more or less it will be the same. That model that you like is just the same basic outline just without the colour.
