Exactly. I had to pass through Manchester yesterday on public transport. The Tram System was impressive which brought home a little how far this city is behind some other parts of the country. For the regeneration of this specific area there needs to be an improvement in clean public transport. Compare nearest station stops of BMD and Arsenal Tottenham Newcastle Man City.

One could say there is a lack of good leadership in the city council unlike Manchester.

Following on from this, does anyone know what ball park timeline we are looking at?

Planning has gone in, when will we know the if this has passed? When will we know if this is going ahead or if it will be called in as per Kirkby.....

I`ve no idea so bowing to others knowledge

From submission of the planning appication to it's assumed approval - for such a big project - could take anywhere from 4-9 months, from what I've been told, there is no set timescale for these matters.

It looks like this is over the original car park on the riverside, but as you say it's good to see them including this sort of feature.

lollol You forgot the Dutch yoke. So you would like to be a republic ruled by all those unelected sods in Brussels on the gravy train, wonder where most of the money came from?

What about the looks of the new stadium, does it not look great. Hope to sit it built, from the B/head side it will really look and folk coming in on the cruise liners.seeing it!
