New Everton Stadium

You won't goad me into replying what I actually want to say to you. Nice try though.

Excuse me? L4 is in a desperate state and nothing is going to change it. It's just a natural evolution. Sentiment doesn't come into it. There's no point crying over a decline that's irreversible.

L4's poor state is very relevant to the wider Goodison upgrade/relocation debate.

The King's Dock was the chance to escape these confines and lead from the front for a new and dynamic city. The boat sailed and Kemwright's to blame.

You horrible Tory rat. [Poor language removed] off. I mean it. Not even arsed if I get banned, you slag off L4, I can guarantee you're a once a fortnight visitor who thinks they're better than the people from round here. Next time you decide tk grace L4 with your presence I'd be made up to meet you for a pint, or a prosecco, and see if you still hold the same opinion, you little Ming.

The area is in a desperate state because it like the ground has suffered from lack of investment and left to rot , it not a forgone conclusion its has to end that way , plenty of run down area's around the country have come come back to life , Salford, east end London, Edinburgh docks ect it just needs a bit of a will to do that , something that hasnt been done by anybody by local/national government for decades.
Maybe are ground could be used as a driver to help with this.
The housing stock is getting bought up for buy to let and has been for ages , meaning the community is in constant transit , and sadly a decline in the community spirit to fight back.

It's called capitalism mate. Communism left the stage in the 80s. Facts are facts the area around Goodison is in a downward spiral and should have been compulsory purchased a long time ago.
By whom and for what? To build another council estate as they did around 1974 in the Fonthill Road area only to bulldoze it 35 years later. You're right like the area is getting worse mainly due to, as another poster has already pointed out, the number of buy to rent owners. Sad really, cos many houses are perfectly sound and far better than the standard Barratt egg box adjoined to 15 yards of weeds.

i understand your pain perfectly, but im perfectly honest here, im like this by nature...i just cant turn against our own board. i would feel weird to hate our own owners, it's not built in me. what i can do, though, is to criticise them when truly needed. turning against them is futile and i couldnt enjoy everton so much if i would have to concentrate hating them.

changes will happend in the long run

what ever happends, it happends.

Pain, not from me.

So the word 'finished' with this board was weaselly words spouted at the time.

Superb post.

its called 'foresight'. Im not tring to simplify this at all but its what a lot of city councils lack because they wont ever get credit for it.

I've reported that post. There's no place for such personal attacks.

You're talking about somebodies community & I'd imagine their families community . That seemed obvious from his posts, well that's what I took from them , that and his obvious passion . You maybe should think about how your posts will impact on other people before you type them , if you don't or don't care then you surely can't be surprised if people respond with that same passion .
