New Everton Stadium

I wonder if we’ll hear a decision regarding planning permission this week? They said a decision would take around 16 weeks to make and we submitted the application 16 weeks ago...

Doubt it. Think everything is on hold at the moment, the people who make these decisions won't be working. They aren't "essential".

Think it will have to wait til things are getting back to normal or at least the lockdown ends.

I see he's also using a fella whose been outed as a major blag artist as his proof.

Incredible these days. Other 'ITKs' would have given up the game long ago.

Crying, he's been genuinely taken in by this individual

They have been holding 'virtual' planning committees and have made decisions on numerous projects during this period, some fairly large projects as well, such as the Festival Gardens site (again).

You would like to think so mein Mutzo frandel but have you seen how many followers he has on Twitter?

Like the Pied Piper of Everton finances.

But significantly less interaction with his content than previously.

This recent episode is pretty bad though. Trusting that blagger for finance info is baaaad.

Everton reveal Goodison Park redevelopment plans

09 Apr 2020 By Miles Rowland

Everton Football Club has outlined plans for a mixed-use development on the site of the club’s current stadium, Goodison Park.

The plans, which will be reviewed by Liverpool City Council, propose building a new health centre, an expansion of Everton Free School (run by the club), up to 173 houses and apartments, almost 5,000 square metres of office space and care facilities for elderly and disabled people. The exact make-up of the scheme will be refined in the coming months by the club in collaboration with the local community, ahead of submitting final plans.

The redevelopment comes as the club pushes ahead with the construction of a new 52,000-seat stadium, which will see Everton move westward, from Goodison Park in north Liverpool, to the docks by the river Mersey

Work will begin on the redevelopment, called the Goodison Park Legacy Project, once the club has relocated to its new stadium, which it hopes to do in time for the 2023/24 season. Laing O’Rourke secured a pre-construction services agreement (PCSA) in February for a design-and-build contract to deliver the new stadium. Decisions from the council on plans for the Goodison Park redevelopment and the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock will both be made during this summer.

An Everton spokesman said that initial work on the new stadium is on track to begin in September this year. If construction happens on schedule, demolition of Goodison Park will begin in August 2023, ahead of a phased build for the new legacy project development. The club has said that the new stadium, combined with the legacy development plans, will create around 12,000 construction jobs and contribute an additional £1bn to the city region’s economy.

Everton stadium development director Colin Chong said: “These plans are being submitted as an ‘outline planning application’ to seek permission for this development based on its maximum size, scale and potential uses. The club, working alongside the local community, will refine the exact offer as we get closer to the build stage, ensuring that it will be completely fit for purpose, and is supported by and meets the needs of the people it will serve."

Surely he doesn't even believe what he is writing nowadays. I think he has either fallen out of love with Everton after his reputation was smashed or more likely, has seen that taking a contrary approach yields far more traffic than being on the same page (the davek method).
