New Everton Stadium

Chelsea's plans definitely dead now...

They really should go back to the drawing board and come up with something way less architecturally ambitious and costly.

I thought it looked fabulous tbh....

With all that brickwork I thought the outside of Chelsea's plans was magnificent but the inside quite bland. Bottom line though, there isn't really that much you can do with the interior a football stadium to make it "different."

You had a Merican Football match at yours yet?

Some of the new NFL stadiums look amazing inside, but I don’t think all those levels are conducive for atmosphere/singing.
American football stadia are built primarily for facilities as opposed for atmosphere/singing. Naturally the indoor stadia such as the saints at New Orleans and Cowboys in Dallas can generate a great atmosphere. But ironically I’m sure I once read the Century Link field home to the Seahawks to have the noisiest fans in the NFL.

Still plenty of work going on behind the scenes.

Even if its passed this week nothing would happen on the site for a few more months and this pandemic will slow things down anyway.
I want to know more about the financing of the stadium which the planning application decision will force the club to comment on.

Dont take this The wrong way, I'm just asking the question.

We are gonna have a recession lasting many years with so do you think the owners still think it will be worth spending £500 million on a new stadium when just to get by supporters cash will maybe be needed to be spent elsewhere?

After 40 years, cos of financial reasons, I'm now one of many who for the first time will have to give up buying a season ticket and I'm not sure that Spurs would still have built theirs if they had foreseen what was gonna happen to the economy just 20 games after opening.
There is a chance it could take 10 years for attendances to recover (if ever?)
