Liverpool are submitting their planning application to the council to expand Anfield to 61,000 and hope to have the decision by Spring 2021. They’ll probably have the decision before we get ours.

Won't be much opposition.

For one the area is now an absolute shambles thanks to the actions of the club over the past 20 odd years.

Killed a local community for their own self interest . Absolutely the tory club of the league.

Is 22/12 the last sitting this year of LCC planning committee? Don’t they usually publish agenda 7 days in advance?
Why are Everton not putting pressure on LCC, even if it’s just to confirm we will get a decision this year?
I do hope LCC aren’t just going to pass on decision to that clown Jenrick to decide.

Ye - I’d agree, no one is sitting on their hands. What I think Everton could more of is publicly push for timelines to force council, but I think they are happy with things being a bit slower during covid. They need clarity, for all we know new stadium guidelines might change post

I'd risk a tenner on that.
Some bright civil servant or politician will come up with...all NEW stadiums must embrace social distancing protocols with regard to seating - all existing stadiums need only take reasonable social distancing precautions.
Much like the introduction of seat belts...mandatory for all new cars after this date etc
We will be the only new stadium built.
10 years down the track this will be amended or repealed
It will be the Niasse penalty dive punishment all over again

I agree. Luckily it is not as big as it looks from the first picture, it was on the other drawings I just missed it until looking at it from the app.

My understanding is it'll be Jenrick who calls it in if he agrees with the heritage groups. LCC can't pass it upwards. If there's no call in, they'll make the decision.

Yep - I think its a longshot, but never rule out the idiocy and sense of self importance when a couple of civil servants get together. Would be gutting to change designs

The basic design won't need to change, there'll just be less seats with more space between them...that would though, be conditional on what percentage capacity they set.
