It’s nearly the planning permission’s 1st birthday, has anyone got a cake?

No, sorry...

If the 22nd is not exclusively for BMD; I would be pointing my frustration at the club as much as the council. There doesn't seem to be any momentum here at all & that is the clubs responsibility

If what soneone posted earlier about the funding is true - this is new. Previously there had been avenues of funding potential, but nothing concrete. It would explain the reluctance of the club to press on while they ddidnt have the means to pay for it.
Perhaps this will change now.

my unchanged hypothesis is the club are happy to sit on delays until Covid is done & by done, I mean the club are clear on BMD being long term fit for purpose post covid, there is a route (and demand) from the public to return & PL football will maintain roughly it's revenue streams.

We are a lot closer to that point than 6 months ago, but I think it is in everyone's interest to make sure that it's will be the right decision long term. Council and club do not want to make a grand announcement, before they are 100% clear that they can crack on. Delays / rollback would be humiliating

Yes your probably right on that. Covid will certainly have put progress back. Even securing funding will have been more difficult with people at home and business closed.

I'm April some people were certain the PP would go through, I said it might be delayed because of the virus and I got a load of abuse and negative rep for saying it!

Who posted what about funding?

It's nothing to do with our ground it's to do with public money being given to certain developers within the city a few years back to build certain things on behalf of the council but nothing actually got built. More will come to light next week.
Is former RS yard dog full back and looker John related to this?
