It's not a fishing permit, it's the necessary approval for all the fish in BMD to be properly netted and removed with as minimal distress and loss of life as possible.
There are estimated to be circa 11,000 or more fish living in BMD, so it can't be rushed.
Ergo, it can't be done gung-ho by a fleet of French or Spanish super-trawlers.

I think they have - with the help of probably local marine scientists - to submit a fully detailed plan of how it will be done and precisely by whom.

It can't be done by anglers with rods and lines - I've asked.

Would it not be quicker to just put a big net together and just drag em out and let em go ? Dont fish meself cus I like to sleep so dunno ?

Okay so the process could take a while then if done in accordance with the law.

Wonder if this will impact on the club saying they hope to start building on by the summer
