Very coolThere's a 50 mile wide block of sandstone that everything sits on, The Dee, Hoylake, The Wirral, The Mersey, The City out to past Woolton and beyond...they dug the stone out for the Cathedral from Woolton Quarry. The railway cuttings from Edge Hill to Lime St. Show it.

The sand will sit on this, big metal tubes will be sunk through both sand and into the rock, filled with steel reo and concrete and the concrete base will sit on top.

It's literally the name of the place they're documenting ?The lads at School of Science should drop reference to Bramley Moore. It's not an association the club wants made. On that, at least, I agree with them.
Maybe BMD for brevity and just for the time nbeing is acceptable. Perhaps.
joking aside, its called Bramley Moore Dock!!!The lads at School of Science should drop reference to Bramley Moore. It's not an association the club wants made. On that, at least, I agree with them.

Imagine being Everton football club and having the fans watching your EVERY move during the building of a new stadium... Must be terrifying ?
Waiting for their first opportunity to go, Boooooooooooooooo!
The dredger was getting some solid booing when it was just moored up doing nothing. We appreciate hard-working dredgers at this football club. NSNO.Imagine being Everton football club and having the fans watching your EVERY move during the building of a new stadium... Must be terrifying ?

It's literally The Everton Stadium.
It's not a dock anymore.
The club are concerned on two fronts:
1/ to get away from the infamy of that name. Clubs are very anxious to distance themselves from controversy...especially something as sinister as slavery.
2/ they dont want everyone calling it the Bramley Moore Dock stadium as they have a commercial partner to find to pay for naming rights to the site, and they dont want that overhang.

Good and bad!Cant imagine the club are losing too much sleep over this.
Let’s face it the official name will be the USM arena, or the Amazon Superdome or the McDonald’s Big Mac Matchday Bowl or some such, and that’s what it will be referred to in all marketing, signage, sky and media coverage etc.
Fans will likely call it Bramley Moore informally, and the club can set an great example by acknowledging the history of the dock and the man who’s name it took, good and bad.
Going to have to disagree here....Good and bad!
There's nothing good to be said about him.
The club will be dropping that name like a hot potato from now on. Journalists might lazily use the name of that former dock, the club wont. I agree with that. It should be erased from history.
