Waterfront Stadium would be a massive game changer for the club.

Imagine a stadium on the docks, with a huge restaurant and bar riverwalk area surrounding the outside, overlooking the river. It would be magnificent and would piss all over the Kopite's new big stand.lol

We would have arguably the most picturesque stadium in the country.

It could be with the right development a mega money spinner for the club and City.

Surely Mr Moshiri will realise that a move out of town to a site like Stonebridge would lead to a disconnect between Everton and the city of Liverpool, and a long term decay of our club, and thus his investment.

Anderson's 3 year comment sounds like him trying to strong arm the club into taking the Stonefield option.

The 3 year timetable is ludicrous - it will probably take half that time ( optimistically) to get planning permission sorted for such a major scheme. I really don't know where he is coming from with such a bold statement.

I agree. Moshiri is all about moving the club forward and a big part of that is the new stadium. I have to think it's going to be something spectacular on the waterfront or otherwise stay at a revamped Goodison and use it's heritage as a selling point.

I think that it is very likely that there is some behind the scene activity hence the comment from JA, happen.

Not sure about that because the dock option is clearly far, far superior, the juxtaposition of the two sites automatically makes the Stonebridge site look garbage.

Maybe the docks site is being used by Moshiri to get a better deal out of the council for presumably their preferred option of Stonegate Cross.

I hope this isn't the case as we can see what the fans are hoping for, and if it comes to nothing you've lost the fanbase without the docks ever being a viable alternative.

We'll have to wait and see what unfolds over the coming weeks; I get the feeling that things will move a lot quicker with Moshiri, even more so now the season has ended...
