New Everton Stadium

Anything other than the waterfront and I'd rather we just rebuild Goodison........

I agree. Moshiri is all about moving the club forward and a big part of that is the new stadium. I have to think it's going to be something spectacular on the waterfront or otherwise stay at a revamped Goodison and use it's heritage as a selling point.

Just no the Stonebridge site - 100 times worse than the Kirkby idea. And living relatively close to Stonebridge I know just how rubbish the transport links are. A waterfront stadium would be outstanding and a real landmark for the city. Only two options that I see - waterfront or a rebuilt Goodison.

What makes the next stadium project different is we haven't got that muppet Kenwright and his cronies in charge - we have someone with a real business head. That is priceless.

I was having a drink in the Egremont Ferry pub over the water on Saturday. I like going there when I'm up, good beer and its got a great view of the city and the river. You can also see the Main Stand and the top of the Park End. Unfortunately however you can also see the pit, and because its on a hill that hideous new bunker now dominates the skyline. This is a once in century chance to put Everton at the heart of the city. It has to be to the waterfront; the gateway to the world that sealed Liverpool's reputation as one of the greatest, most historic and most idiosyncratic cities. Cardiff copes with 1000's in and out of the heart of that city, it will be a challenge but the logistics can be overcome I'm certain of it. If we can pull this off, the RS will always look down us... sat on their suburban hill, consumed with bitter envy.

Why can we not have tha land the other lot planning in Stanley park were originally going to build on ?
It would be fitting for us as our first ground was on the park itself untill the crowds got too big - why can the council not just redirect the given space to us so we can build our stadia - I don't give a dam if it takes us nearer Anfield it's in our history that we started there well before the other lot were spawned on the back of us!

Sorry mate, way to close to that other lot, no ta.

Because the Mayor has just said that no green belt land will be built on. One of the main reasons that WHP didn't go ahead.

I know they got permission in the past, but that was nearly 20 years ago now. Times have changed.

We need to move heaven and earth to make the riverside stadium work.

Absolute game changer for the club if it happens. Would without a doubt be the biggest thing to happen to us for a long long time.

Surely Mr Moshiri will realise that a move out of town to a site like Stonebridge would lead to a disconnect between Everton and the city of Liverpool, and a long term decay of our club, and thus his investment.

Anderson's 3 year comment sounds like him trying to strong arm the club into taking the Stonefield option.

This definitely. We now finally have the chance to get the job done right.

Re Stonebridge - think this is the Council's preferred option. Takes a problem site off their hands and would bring regeneration to a tough area.
Expect they'll look to sweeten the deal as much as possible.
First time I've ever been ITK on something! I'll try and keep an ear out for more, but as of this morning my source wasn't aware of any further progress on it.

I do not like that location, it smacks of us being tucked away out of sight and virtually out of the City.

Need to twist Peel for North Docks.

As fans, should we get the opportunity, we simply must rebuke ANY deal for Stonebridge Cross.

As a season ticket holder, I would expect my opinion to be canvassed. As a fanbase we simply MUST reject anything for Stonebridge Cross if the North Docks is our alternative.

My gut feeling...

Club leak to determine fan feeling for both sites.

We (fans and club) get this right, were back in the big time. We cant waste this opportunity.

Not sure about that because the dock option is clearly far, far superior, the juxtaposition of the two sites automatically makes the Stonebridge site look garbage.
