New Everton Stadium

Re Stonebridge - think this is the Council's preferred option. Takes a problem site off their hands and would bring regeneration to a tough area.
Expect they'll look to sweeten the deal as much as possible.
First time I've ever been ITK on something! I'll try and keep an ear out for more, but as of this morning my source wasn't aware of any further progress on it.

Would also bring objections from Knowsley , St Helens and skem councils just like the Kirkby deal I would have thought.
And split the fan base again.

Everton really should learn from past mistakes and forget all about it.

Keep it coming:)

So basicly we are looking at two options... "A new Kings dock project" at the waterfront at a top location and "a new Kirkby Project" in a retail Park in a tough area far away from city center

In my oppionion LCC just want to use Everton as you mention in order to raise the profile of a tough area no one else will Invest in... Moving there is like selling Stones and getting in Titus Bramble as replacement.... as an out of towner I cant see the difference to the Kirkby project... am I wrong?

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the New Goodison Stadium, sniff it Kopites.

Feel free to pass these around on social media to your Kopite acquaintances.

Waterfront Stadium would be a massive game changer for the club.

Imagine a stadium on the docks, with a huge restaurant and bar riverwalk area surrounding the outside, overlooking the river. It would be magnificent and would piss all over the Kopite's new big stand.lol

We would have arguably the most picturesque stadium in the country.

Stonebridge Cross would be a huge mistake. Financially it might be the easiest to deliver but it would split the fanbase, provoke passionate opposition and as a consequence actually be very difficult to deliver.

The club will not learn from past mistakes if Bill and Elstone still have a say in decision-making. We have to hope Moshiri would quickly understand and react if the club tried to push this and the inevitable fan backlash kicked in.

A landmark stadium on an iconic waterfront would make it worth leaving Goodison. A new stadium, no matter how nice, on the edge of town will not win over any doubters.

Just one point about the waterfront - I was down there the other day. It was windy as chuff!
It would HAVE to be a closed-sided/bowl stadium I reckon.
