Have you thought about writing a strongly worded letter of protest to the club ?
If that doesn`t work, you could dust down your old Scargill Donkey Jacket and flat cap and start a one man picket line.
I`ve got an old brazier in the back yard that I could lend you, as it`s getting a bit chilly in the evenings.
I'll tell you this for nothing: this needs sorting now by the club, because it'll go national very shortly and Everton's fine words about 'community' will be in the bin.Do you remember that old carry on film based in a toilet manufacturer? That’s the type of union activity I have experienced in the construction industry over the years. Little power plays from little men. Hate to break it to you but you will find it very difficult to haul any of these companies over the coals for terms and conditions these days, it costs them too much to get it wrong, as 2019 showed. Yes, accidents will still happen, it would be naive to think otherwise, but in general the LOR workforce are a contented bunch, happy with their lot.
The bike lane along that road is great but I can't help thinking that it will end up a trip hazard post matches. Wouldn't surprise me to see it amended over time.Do those scooters have bells? They should do. Anyhow, the bicycle lane is one of the most obvious I've seen (normally just different coloured tarmac) so if any pedestrian does stray into it and comes a cropper, for once at least, I won't blame anybody but the pedestrian.
The Farhad Moshiri end. A fitting tribute to the great man.We all know GP has two goal ends, the famous Gladys Street and Park Road. Thinking about the new stadium any ideas on names for those goal ends.
Could one be New Gladys Street ?

You joke, but he'd have a good case for a stand being named after him once this thing has been builtThe Farhad Moshiri end. A fitting tribute to the great man.
That's much betterI want to see really angry people, dripping blood from open wounds, putting roof trusses on with a couple of ropes and a podger
It's bigger than any stand at BMD, has to be completed while the existing stand is still in use and is on schedule.Seen how long it’s taking Buckingham for 1 stand
You believe what you like, I’ll stick to first hand testimony and company wide policy.Anecdotal. That's his perception.
I'd take the word of a union over that as they have vast experience of this lot on many sites. They just dont want to recognise trade unions and get round being perceived as anti-trade union by throwing out the crum of inviting trade unions to inductions. I can bet that all those workers cards are marked not to join unite / ucatt though.
They do this for a reason: the hit they'll take on a fixed cost job will be to make sure workers are cutting corners on breaks and safety. Unions wont have it.
That's how this works.

I agree with you. I lot on here don't see it this way.You joke, but he'd have a good case for a stand being named after him once this thing has been built
agree, the deaths of workers in qatar has been forgotten, the jim whites and linekers of the world harp on about, then they go out and praise the country upIf Everton are paying them hundreds of millions then they should INSIST on the involvement of free trade union activity onsite.
This is not on. I hope the club realise they will be massively embarrassed by a media campaign that gets stonger and stronger. This has to be sorted out. Those fellers are risking life and limb on site and they aren't allowed basic rights.
Some people here would oppose what went on in Qatar with their stadium builds but not down the road at the docks. The scale of exploitation is different, but the principle of exploitation is the same.
2022 Britain: employers acting in such draconian heavy handed ways cant be tolerated or allowed.
