New Everton Stadium

Just catching up on this thread so apologies if this has already been covered or linked. In terms of the roof, other than the removal of the slight incline from North to South, I understand the roof design remains the same as the original planning submission. You can read the detail in Part 4 of the Design & Access Statement but as I can't work out how to link from my phone I've taken some screen shots. Hope you can read the detail on the attached pics.

Inner roof is polycarbonate. Main roof is standing seam aluminium. Barrel roof is perforated aluminium. Only the polycarbonate and standing seam aluminium sections provide protection from the rain with the gutter then separating the perforated barrel section from the main roof. The barrel section isn't close to the seats though.

any help?

Those 2 bottom pics are quality ;)

Definitely no reduction in any areas mate. That North stand was always going to be quite a small upper tier due to lack of space.

52,888 is what they've said and that's what it'll be for starters. I'm assuming the only way it ever gets closer to 60k is if the standing ratio increased and the North stand lower and South Stand Lower section become standing.

Whenever I look at the plans, it definitely looks to me like the East and West Upper tiers could have been made bigger as the footprint of those stands is huge.

Also on another note, if someone here has a family member/friend who they take to Goodison and they use a wheelchair, could you reply to this message as I have a question I'd like to ask. Apparently at Goodison there is access for 216 wheelchair users (I'm assuming this number increased with the new upper section they built in the Park End?). On thennew stadium plans I could only count access for 181 wheelchair users which I thought quite strange as it's a larger capacity. So my question is. The seat next to where a wheelchair can be placed for the relative/friend to sit, do Everton ( or football clubs in general) actually count that as one of the 216 seats available?

On the plans it looks like we've got a fair few access points yet surely it would be really disappointing if there was less access than Goodison offers.
Says in the D&A Statement that there are 228 GA wheelchair viewing positions and 55 hospitality wheelchair viewing positions. Not sure how they count them though.

Is that for the new stadium mate or Goodison?

That's answered all of my questions!

It's going to look incredible.
