but we're seeing gaps all the time, its just thin poles going up from a distance. Once the roof is on and each side is fully blocked, then it'll show what it should be.

As long as its tall and steep inside, then all good.

Its perceived size/scale related directly to its surroundings. Goodison towers over the surrounding houses and buildings, which are tight to the ground.

This provides a basis for its stature. In reality, BMD towers over our Main Stand, but there is nothing adjacent to it to provide that scale - you just see sky.

Even the outer wall is very tall, so people probably relate that 'it isn't much bigger than a wall' as a measure of scale. When it's done and we're stood close...

... it'll be bloody massive.

I went down over the Christmas break and I thought the same, but the viewing angles from site gates aren't great. It actually looked more impressive from a distance when we walked back into town.

Yeah, that's exactly it. You can't get very close to it yet. Standing underneath it with it towering above you will be a different thing all together.

Even when it is finished I don't think it will have the same shock to the senses as the main stand at Anfield, but will be far more pleasing on the eye. I am getting really impatient to see the sides built up and the roof go on.

Just couldn't be arsed with all the crap going on at the club, just had no heart for it. Just watched this again and the night one from earlier this week and they’ve defo stirred somethig inside of me telling me I need to get back down there.
