Nothing beats Stoke City in the height of winter
I think there's been warmer expeditions to the South Pole
Ok, fair point and i apologise. I think i jumped into the thread at the wrong point.Wind your neck in !!
Yes, it is cold at Goodison during the winter months but, there are quite a few fans who might/will be concerned about whether the new stadium is colder.
Bear in mind, parking near to the new stadium will be limited and many might/will need to walk further or rely on public transport to get to/from the new stadium, potentially longer walking/waiting in inclement weather might be a factor for the older/frailer Blues, those with younger fans.

What about stray kopites? Is that tower going to be functional, or is it merely a heritage-fuelled renovation?
I hope we don't get taken over by Saudi's and the tower ultimately becomes a place where our diabolical owners publicly hang 'tributes'. That would be very unsavoury, and not in-keeping with the Club's identity.
Bray should be under the Irish sea.Bray Wanderers ground is the coldest I was ever in and it is right beside the Irish Sea
Id say Season tickets would be a big reason mate, administration nightmare. How would you sell season tickets for Goodison and BMD at the same time and honor them, likewise corporate boxes, hospitality, police logistics, insurance, sponsorship, safety plans, can think of loads of reasons really.
Seen as you couldn't be bothered to back anything up, your list below with the dates when each stadium was opened.
Stoke – August 1997
Reading – August 1998
Wigan – August 1999
Southampton – July 2001
Leicester – July 2002
Hull – December 2002
Swansea – July 2005
Arsenal –July 2006
Derby –July 2007
Sunderland –July 2007
Cardiff – July 2009
Brighton – May 2011
Rotherham – March 2012
Spurs – April 2019
Brentford – August 2020
Hull, Rotherham, Spurs all opened mid-season. The reason none of the others did is because they were all finished within the close season.
So the evidence indicates that where a stadum is ready mid-season it's been opened and used. When it's been finished in the close season then it's used the following season.
Just reading up on the Spurs stadium mate, apparently it was a manure show, it was supposed to open in the first game of the season, but due to delays it didn’t open until April of the same season - it wasn’t planned to open mid season. It was delayed by 8 months.
Opening of Spurs’ new stadium delayed over safety concerns
At least two Premier League games and one NFL fixture have been moved to Wembleywww.irishtimes.com
Sorry but this is absolute head banging stuff imo.
You don’t think season tickets and hospitality would have been sorted nearly a year before the completion date?
Google the word “pro rata”.I know this comes across as patronising but I don’t care I’m fed up of reading nonsense about a mid season move.
You’re undermining people who work and undertake these positions.
But yeah let’s leave a billion pound asset sitting there dormant because we’re super blues.
Put him on ignore like I did it makes the forum much better.
