New Everton Stadium

They won't be moving in mid-season, there will be work to do in terms of figuring out where people want to sit, selling available seats, and stress testing

There would be other test events that need to happen before they ramp up the capacity.

I’d imagine the ladies team and the U21’s will get a game there with limited capacity before we move in as part of that process

Yes, totally agree with all above. Will be lots of testing to do at the beginning of 2025. Prob season ticket holders get a chance to visit and choose seats etc and first mens first team PL match in August 2025 maybe other event before that to get some income flowing in. All very exciting!!

Can't see us waiting a full six/seven months to move if the stadium is going to be ready say December 2024.

I'd imagine the season ticket seating allocation will be done well in advance and the test events could be done in as little as a couple of weeks as they ramp up the capacity of each test. A relaxed schedule might be over a period of a month but it doesn't take long to gain the certification required.

If this winter had been particularly harsh then they may have had the idea of opening for the start of the 2025 season.

People keep saying this, but its going to happen

They simply won't be leaving Goodison mid-season

They did pay the rent, but didn't want to continue paying it. If Holding hadn't been greedy things would have been very different.
I remember somebody on some website or other who'd done a study as part of their degree or something about the split. The root cause of it (according to him) is that Goulding was a brewer who wanted to sell his beer inside the ground. The rest of the board were against it. This caused him to bump up the rent to make up the money he wasn't earning from selling his ale. And that caused the split.
