New Everton Stadium

I feel that we can do both, in equal measures and it is not a bad thing.

Be excited about a world class stadium being associated with the club. The hope being that we will be more attractive to a takeover, have something there that would an all year round venue, increase in sponsorship, etc.

The current state of the team is worrying but I feel that we can still worry about that while being excited about the above, as the above may help with the team situation. It may be a long road but it is better to have this stadium being built than nothing.

we can worry about being crap and hope we stutter our way to the new ground as a top flight team you mean

Yes, I suppose you may be right but it is OK to be positive about what is an amazing stadium, it is OK to be positive about the financial aspect, the status aspect improving with the new stadium. It is OK to think that if we just get through this period of instability then that stadium could be the catalyst for better and more stable days ahead. Not sure why you have a problem with people thinking like that and want to put a downer on it.

Yeah, it's not like people on this thread don't appreciate the situation the club is in. It's not exactly a wake-up call by telling people our team should be the priority.

Anyway, is it just me or has there been a slowdown in the pace of drone footage? I'd imagine the roof extension/canopy that was being assembled for the West Stand should be going up at any time now.

There have been a few recent videos but sometimes I look at them and think that looks identical to what has already been posted, so I don't bother putting them on here.

I like you hope we'll see that secondary roof piece lifted at somepoint this week

Mr Drone posted his latest video yesterday.

I think I was the one who compared the hydraulic tower to St. Luke's a few pages back.

I didn't mean it should be used to sell old programmes and nik-naks. I meant from an architectural point of view. A beautiful old building full of character that forms an integral part of our property. St. Lukes is a fantastic and unique feature of Goodison. The H.T. will be similar at BMD.
I don’t like the hydraulic tower. Looks like it doesn’t belong there. Will prompt a lot of ‘what is that’ questions from visitors. Bricks don’t match the stadium either.

Disagree. The tower looks exactly like it belongs there to me. If visitors question what it is, then they can spend their hard earned finding out, all to the benefit of EFC coffers

I know what timeframe they are aiming for total completion, but does anybody with more insight/knowledge have a guess as to when the exterior will be done? Will it be done well in advance of the interior or finish up around the same time(Im assuming they finish the outside first)? Any idea how long they then inspect/prep the stadium after its done, but not "done" and ready to open?

i agree we need it. but it’s not like nxt week mate. we are sheer desperate for quality players. it’s not a downer it’s my opinion we need to address on the pitch NOW

not when we’re in a new ground
