Mobile Elevated Work Platform , also known as scissor lifts,gets you into high,awkward places for short duration type jobs when scaffold is not an option for whatever reason.
The scissor lift jobs, I think it is mobile elevated working platforms, though I dare say someone could correct me. Essentially does away with fixed scaffolding. sorry @Julius Geezer
