So 12-18m from gate receipts and extra spend. Wonder how much the interest payments will be.12000 increase in capacity and we won't have to spend millions every season in modernisation and maintenance as we currently do at Goodison.
The concourses of the new stadium will also be geared with more facilities with the ability to cater for supporters spending more time at the stadium before and after the game which should see a further increase in revenue.
Mate, that was just off the top of my head, I'm sure there are plenty of other financial benefits of the new stadium including the ability to accommodate world class events there, concerts etc., a big increase in corporate boxes and entertainment which will all bring in more revenue. So 12-18m from gate receipts and extra spend. It really needs to support greater performance on the pitch
No having a dig. Just trying to understand the impact of the new stadium given our perilous financial position today. Genuinely don’t know whether whether it is 5,10 or 20m a yearMate, that was just off the top of my head, I'm sure there are plenty of other financial benefits of the new stadium including the ability to accommodate world class events there, concerts etc., a big increase in corporate boxes and entertainment which will all bring in more revenue.
The feasibility studies would all have been done, everything will be geared to increasing revenues, it won't be equivalent to chicken feed.
We are obviously going to take a hit financially initially just as every other club with a new stadium has, notably Arsenal who for many years under Wenger were unable to spend big before they moved into the emirates. No having a dig. £30-40 mill per year the club is projecting mate.
we’re will they go tho
777s debt
Mostly interest I’d say as the crow flies mate.
we’re a mess mate
Yep we’ve been here before though, with the Bear Sterns that became the Prudential deal mate. Be interesting the accounts coming out in a couple weeks, I believe we are posting a minor profit - but that could be strongly based on player sales.
but how do we even operate and be successful? when we’re screwed
Three ways mate.
1. Shareholder loans - new owner comes in and covers the business losses - that’s what Moshiri did.
2. Debt - though we’re fairly maxed out.
3. Sell players - essentially selling Branthwaite and Onana etc for 10s of millions.
First thing any sensible new owner is doing is going to a lender rolling up our debt into one big loan at a lower interest rate, though we’d prob have to borrow at bit more.
