If they reached a compromise and called it 'City of Liverpool waters stadium', I could go for that more.

How about "The Royal Blue Mersey Stadium"?
Surely City Of Liverpool Dome would be a truer reflection of the municipality....Nah City Of Liverpool Arena sponsored by Coca Cola ! Big Bucks !!!!$$$$
fair do but I'm still waiting on you to elucidate what a Tier 1 stadium actually is Damo.Trafalgar Dock
Would be my favourite. Has weight. Classical resonance.
I think that the city name will always give the connection to LFC whether people like it or not. Its not a problem to come up with a suitable name without drawing attention to them. Sorry for the delay in replying. Why mate?
Yes.
It is time Everton were reclaiming the name of this city in some form or other.
We cannot incorporate it into the name of our club but we can surely let the world know that Everton are a Liverpool team by including the name in a spanking brand new stadium by the river.
And I think thst might well happen now that we are being run like Harrad's rather than the corner shop and "brand recognition" will become the order of the day.

Sounds dead hard as well.Trafalgar Dock
Would be my favourite. Has weight. Classical resonance.
However.....City of Liverpool Stadium goes some way to reclaiming the name of our city and it not renaming a "dirty" word in football teams.
