Don’t mind me asking but what’s wrong with public transport .?My son is definitely going to continue with the season tickets next season. One big worry will be the alleged lack of car parking. It is likely to be so bad that our current school car park in Fountains Road anticipate continuing their £10 per game deal even though it is 1.4 miles from BMD. That counts me out even if I wanted to continue because I could not walk that far. Dropping off and picking up in congested roads will not be practical. Forget public transport.
Out of towner question hereDon’t mind me asking but what’s wrong with public transport .?
Merseyside has generally very good public transport and I would imagine that there will be soccer buses running from various hubs to get you at least within easy walking distance.
Not as far as I know.Out of towner question here
Any word on a ferry? Even just the short ride from town. Would love to bring my kid by boat up the mersey to a game.

Easy to spot because they are too thick to successfully hide their true colours
thanks! Not as far as I know.
Ferries aren’t the same anymore
Up until about 20 years ago ( maybe longer) they used to be a
regular affordable way to ply across the Mersey to various destinations.
Nowadays they don’t operate as frequently and are priced more as an expensive tourist ride than a form of integrated transport.
I doubt the cost of running one every other week ( and presumably building a new landing stage ) is viable for the use . They compete with the trains really .
But who knows

Because its awkward for many, quite difficult for night games to get home after work and back out again & particularly expensive for families especially travelling beyond the merseyrail network.Don’t mind me asking but what’s wrong with public transport .?

But is that any different to Goodison ?Because its awkward for many, quite difficult for night games to get home after work and back out again & particularly expensive for families especially travelling beyond the merseyrail network.
Yes because parking around GP is relatively straightforward compared to the extent of the restrictions that will be in place around BMD. Some people have no option but to travel by car for a multitude of reasons. But is that any different to Goodison ?
I don’t use my car for GP, on the odd occasion I have I didn’t know where to park and once ended up with a ticket.Yes because parking around GP is relatively straightforward compared to the extent of the restrictions that will be in place around BMD.
