New Everton Stadium

State of you lot moaning about the lighting ffs. A terrace with corrogated tin roofs used to suffice, now ya want flashy LED's so it looks pretty when you see it on tv from your manky sofa.
Agree with all this - the game is indeed long gone - but still…. I cannot stop myself. The beam of those lights is too narrow and we should take to the streets with placards and demand they are diffused.

Why expect something that wasn’t in the designs? They showed a subtle blue hue around the bottom part of the roof only - something that seems likely to be achieved with a bit more tinkering. It’s not meant to be like a trip to Blackpool.

It's not enough.

That cant be the final look of the stadium. No chance. I mean, I dont want garish Blackpool illuminations, but subtle lighting like the one we've seen so far sort of hides your light under a bushel (no pun intended) when we want to call attention to this stadium.

There's going to have to be a rethink on this. £700M for as @Tom Hughes says a gas hob effect is not bang for your buck.

How can you see the blue lights over that massive wall you wanted knocking down a few months ago ?

It's all a pretty trivial detail tbh, but would like to see what it would look like with the barrel roof lit up in white flood light, to get all of that curved metallic reflection at night time. Perhaps with blue light on the end glass walls and other glazed areas. It does look a lot like a gas hob at present. Perhaps blue strip lights as opposed to spotlights might give a better effect.

Them blue lights can change to white Tom, but I agree they would look better if they put a lens on so it was less spotlight and covered more of the upper bowl, which in my opinion would look spectacular on the waterfront as the stadium already does.

... must say, nowhere near as good as Goodison's lights, like.

Cor, I love seeing these beams on a match day. That 2016/17 refurb really was something.
