This best be coming to a conclusion soon. We desperately need new players in January regardless of whether Dyche is still here. The new owners will know that and hopefully Mr Thelwell has been told what he has to play with and has already identified some players that can come in and instantly do a better job than the likes of Mykolenko, DCL, Doucoure, McNeil, Harrison, etc. A mere two new starting XI players could revolutionise the team.

I know mate. Some of the flagging and brickwork around the stadium is absolutely superb, but for whatever reason they're leaving the steps as they are.

It’s designed to look like a stand that’s been turned around to face outwards and you wouldn’t flag a stand would you? As with the inside of the stadium, the real power of it will only be realised when people are sitting in it, in this case cheering the coach as it arrives and waving some blue flares.

It's not really that bad to call it like that. Most steps are bare concrete in similar applications.

I went once to their new ground and thought is was a much nicer experience than the one to Upton Park. The area when you came off the tube was always very crowded and there was such a visible police presence, did n`t make it the most welcoming place to visit. Saying that, I`d prefer grounds more like Upton park than some of the shiny new stadium that have popped up, it was a proper English style ground and had a great atmosphere, something that lets the new ground down.
I think we have gone for a design that will have a feel of a tradition football ground with the best of all modern ideas. The one thing I`d have liked us to do was a retractable roof as it would have been something that would really make the ground stand out from everyone else.

I was at the Principality (Millenium) stadium this weekend. The retractable roof (and stadium as a whole) is very impressive. Would love BMD to have a retractable roof too, another Everton first, great for atmosphere and a potential money spinner for gigs etc.
On another note, I was in the nosebleeds and the view was still great. I’m not sure how the top stand height and angle compares to BMD but I’d imagine it’s similar.

I was there once before and the atmosphere was great. Even though you can be up very high you are never far back from the pitch which helps your view of the game. The roof was open that day. Setting a first in having the retractable roof would have been great as the big features being the blue wall and the viewing area at the players tunnel are all feature already in place in stadiums already in operation, so they feel like we are following others instead of setting new standards. Still really excited about what BMD has turned out like and can`t wait to experience it next season.
